The Butler Museum is located in the old New York, Susquehanna and Western Railroad Station on Upper Main Street in Butler. The station itself has no street address but is across from 234 Main Street.

From the Garden State Parkway:
Take the exit for Route 3 West. Continue on Rt. 3 West to Rt. 46 West. Take Rt. 46 West to Rt. 23 North (this will be from the right lane). Travel Rt.23 North for about 10 miles.

Around Mile 8, you will pass the interchange for Rt. 287, then the development site for Wal-Mart and a major condominium project. There will be a major shopping center with BJ's, Staples, and Home Depot and a new mall with Lowe's and Applebee's Restaurant.

Pass the Morse Avenue light and continue on Rt. 23 to the Kiel Avenue jug handle. Exit at the jug handle and turn right. Continue to the bottom of the hill and at the stop sign, turn left. Stay in the left lane, go over the railroad tracks and turn left. Go one and a half blocks to the train station and make a left into the museum parking lot.

From the Garden State Parkway North, you can also take the exit for Route 80 West. Follow Rt. 80 West to Rt. 23 North. And follow the above directions

From Route 287 North or South:
Take Exit 52 B for Route 23 North. Follow above directions.
